The bell top case with brass handle and four finials, above an arched glazed door, with 6 ¾ in. arched brass dial, signed on the chapter ring, on stepped foot and later stepped foot for the chiming power mechanism, the sides each with a gilt-metal roundel above shaped glazed panel, the signed twin train chain fusée movement with verge escapement and foliate engraved backplate, striking the hour on a bell, later fitted with quarter chiming work on eight bells, driven from a large chain fusée power reserve housed in the adapted base
