The arched case with a brass carrying handle and fretted sides, on a stepped base and four brass feet, the 7 ½ in. arched silvered dial, foliate engraved and with two subsidiaries to the arch ‘FAST /SLOW’ and ‘CHIME /SILENT’, signed to the centre and with blued steel trefoil hands, the three train chain fusée movement with stoned plates, striking and chiming the quarters on blued steel gongs
