A RESTAURATION ORMOLU, BRONZE AND GRIOTTE MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK

Modelled with a patinated group of Cupid and Psyche, between the circular engine-turned dial and cast bezel, the twin train movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on a bell, on a stepped plinth base and cast feet

Condition report:

1 pendulum. 1 winding key.

This impressive clock is in excellent original condition.  The movement looks recently cleaned and is of good quality.  We have not been able to test in though. 

The bronze figures are finely cast and finished and have a good colour.  The ormolu mounts are crisp and well chiselled.  

Some very slight nibbling to edge of of the marble plinth. N
