Condition report
Gloster to London Coach: Canvas relined; stretcher bar mark and traces of craquelure in the sky; a few flecks of paint loss off the upper border and some lifting paint. traces of dirt and a slightly discoloured varnish; ultraviolet reveals a couple of patches of retouching in the sky, upper left, a couple more to the track, lower centre and lower right; further retouching to frame abrasions on all borders.
Louth to London Coach: Canvas relined; dirt and discoloured varnish, particularly in the sky; a few traces of light craquelure in the sky, stable; ultraviolet patches of retouching to the sky, upper left; infilling to paint loss off the upper right border, a couple of further patches to the track and to the verge, lower left; further retouching to frame abrasions on all borders.
