Tuke's register of paintings lists a number of watercolours which could be the present work; the most likely is R770, 'Group of French Ships and Barque.'

Condition Report

The sheet is sound, clean and flat; a few light spots of foxing to the sky, mainly upper left and off the right border, otherwise good overall condition with strong colour; framed and under glass, unexamined out of frame.
