Condition Report
The canvas has been relined; paint surface in good, clean condition with a few traces of old craquelure; ultraviolet reveals scattered areas of infilling to craquelure in the clouds and to the sails, lower left; further retouching throughout the sky and areas of strengthening to the vessels in the foreground and sea. Held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
