Condition Report
Canvas has an old relining; the paint surface is dirty with a discoloured varnish; extensive craquelure throughout, generally stable; areas of restoration visible to the naked eye, upper centre; frame abrasions to each border; Ultraviolet does not penetrate numerous layers of varnish so no reading possible. Held in a plaster gilt frame with old marks and scratches and losses to gilt work.
