Original canvas. Traces of craquelure in the sky and horizontal stretcher mark off the upper border; patch of discoloured varnish, upper left; some minor frame abrasions to the lower left hand border. Ultraviolet light reveals no sign of retouching. Framed and under glass, unexamined out of frame.
