Footnote
The sitter in the present work is Wanda Zelinska, a girl from Auteuil whose nickname was 'Pouponne', meaning baby.  She sat for Blanche on numerous occasions between 1889 and 1897 who painted her in oil and pastel as well as frequently using her as a model for many lithographs.
