Condition report
The canvas has been relined.  Traces of craquelure, some areas of paint separation in the darker pigments and light stretcher marks, otherwise the paint surface is in good overall condition.  Ultraviolet reveals infilling to craquelure to the sitter's heads, to the dog and some further areas in the background.  Held in a plaster gilt frame with some loss to mouldings.
