Condition Report
The canvas has been relined. Traces of craquelure typical of a work of this age, a few flecks of lifting paint to the collar; discoloured varnish. Ultraviolet reveals retouching to the sitter's face and hair, some further spots of background. Held in a later ebonised frame in fair condition.
