Condition report
The canvas has been relined. Extensive craquelure throughout the paint surface and areas of paint separation, particularly to the darker pigments. The varnish is also heavily discoloured and prevents reading under ultraviolet light. Held in a plaster gilt double swept frame with extensive losses to mouldings and gilt.
