Condition report
The canvas has been sympathetically relined and is slightly uneven in the sky, upper left. Otherwise paint surface is in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals retouching to the sky, upper left, further fluorescence in the central foreground and tree upper right but these appear to correspond to the darker pigments and therefore the hand of the artist. Held in a later composite frame in fair condition.
