Condition report
The canvas has been relined. Faint traces of a vertical stretcher mark, slightly uneven canvas, upper right, some frame abrasions but otherwise paint surface is in good overall condition. Ultraviolet reveals scattered retouching to the sea, lower left, the horizon line between the masts and some further in the sky and buildings, lower right. Held in a later plaster frame with a free losses to mouldings.
