Condition report
The canvas has been relined. Paint surface is dirty with craquelure throughout and traces of a discoloured varnish; also one small area of paint loss off the left hand border. Ultraviolet reveals scattered infilling to craquelure in the foreground and some further to the tree, upper left. Held in a plaster gilt frame with some losses to giltwork.
