Condition report
The canvas has been relined; there are extensive abrasions to the paint surface and evidence of repairs and restoration. Ultraviolet light reveals scattered retouching to the figure and background. Held in a plaster gilt frame with some loss to mouldings.
Difficult to say hold old frame is but it has age.
