Original canvas. The paint surface is dirty with traces of discoloured varnish; stretcher mark visible off the upper and left border. Ultraviolet reveals traces of retouching to frame abrasions off the upper left and upper right borders. held in a plaster gilt frame with some loss to mouldings.
