The engraved steel decorated with trophies and initials T&B, Continental proof marks to the underside with walnut grip, 21cm long; The powder tester with brass mounts, engraved with the maker’s name ‘Wheeler’, and testing wheel engraved 1 to 7, 15cm long; Together with a telescope by C.H. Chadburn, Liverpool, 67cm fully extended

Condition report: 

The flintlock powder tester with various scuffs, scratches dents and wear commensurate with use and age. The grip is probably walnut and also with scuffs, scratches and dents. The mechanism will need a thorough overhaul and there is no guarantee of its working order. 

The double barrel pistol also with general tarnishing and wear, rubbing and some rust to the surfaces. The mechanism will need cleaning. 

In our opinion, both full and half cock positions are good, and both with a good fire action.
