The hinge is in good condition, with both lids securely in position. There are no apparent marks to the box. The purity of gold is unknown. Suggested age second half of the 20th century. The cabochon gemstones are in good condition, without scratching or chipping, the box exterior has a shallow dent to one side, otherwise there are a few minor surface scuff marks
