Including a gilt-mounted headband, floral applique sprigs with a matching tiara and veil, blue garter and various silk stockings; Together with a cotton lace underdress or tea gown and petticoat; a gilt thread brocade dress, probably circa 1930s; a purple silk two piece skirt and chemise, early 20th Century, a silk striped shirt, a straw hat with red velvet ribbon; two purses, and various photographs of the Wedding dress

Provenance: 

The wedding dress was worn by Isabel Curtis for her marriage to Julian Day, at the turn of the century. Julian Day (1878-1947) was the brother of American author and founder of the Yale University Press Clarence Day (1874-1935). Lots 687-690 in this auction were transported to England around 1910 when Isabel and her husband emigrated from America. 


Condition Report

This is a large lot and we would highly recommend viewing it in person. 

The wedding dress is very fragile, with various tears including near the neck and to the underskirts.
