pencil on both sides of a sheet of lined paper, from Ian Dury to Deary Sue, addressed 12, Waldegrave Gardens or something, signed Love From, Ian, the reverse with a drawing of Dylan Thomas, among other musings Dury writes "how easy it would be... to steal all the money and the nicest birds" then "scree off to the distant mountains and screw and smoke and drink and sing dirty songs till they decided Ian's time on Earth was over...",

The letter was sent to a fellow student of Ian’s at Walthamstow School of Art. Ian had left school at 16 and began studying at Walthamstow in 1959, leaving in 1963 to attend the Royal College of Art.
