The interior fitted and filled with surgical instruments, mostly complete and stamped Arnold & Sons London (probably 1 piece missing), the case inset with maker’s label, 45cm wide
A note from the owner:
The surgeons kit was owned by a Dr R Thomas who
was a mining doctor in the Welsh valleys, Cwmaman, at the turn of the 20th
century. He died in 1926. This kit was used by him saving
lives of miners when trapped after accidents in the mine.
