AN EARLY GEORGE II SILVER BRANDY SAUCEPAN AND A FOREIGN BOWL (2)

The brandy saucepan fitted with an ebony handle, London 1734, gross weight 132 gms, the foreign bowl decorated with a scroll engraved band, possibly Asian, apparently unmarked, diameter 7.5cm, weight 45 gms

Brandy Saucepan; The handle mount has been re-fixed to the body, initials underneath have been erased with some loss of definition, principally to the  maker's mark and the leopard's head, the date letter and the lion are still a bit rubbed, scratched pawn broker's mark underneath, the lip at the side looks a little crude, having sought alternative opinion, it was felt that this was authentic.  No engraving to the body.

Wooden handle probably replaced at some stage
