Condition report:
The blocks to the top of the leg and legs themselves are brass inlaid (and the right hand side is not missing a mount). The mahogany around the mount is more exposed and stained varnish removed for some reason, possibly a result from a previous attempt at cleaning the inlay.
Shrinkage splits and worn away covering to the writing surface, which also slides out.
Other chips and losses to the veneers in areas, together with general inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, other small shrinkage and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.
Tarnishing to other areas of inlay, gallery and feet as to be expected.
