Footnote
Diana Bloomfield studied at Harrow School of Art and the Hampstead Garden Suburb Institute from 1947. She was strongly influenced by the work of Eric Gill and went onto specialise in wood engraving. She received a commission from Penguin for various publications including Walter de la Mare's poetry anthology for children, 'Come Hither'.

Condition report
Sheet is generally sound, some minor scattered surface abrasions but good colour with no sign of fading. Unframed but accompanied by original backboard with inscribed title.
