The case surmounted by a model of the Crouching Venus, after the Antique, with a rectangular case, the base with a pair of recumbent dogs centred by a box ‘ BÖETE AUX LETTRES’ above a stepped plinth, a whispering Psyche and Cupid standing to each side, on griotte base with foliate-cast claw feet; the 4 1/2in white enamel dial (restored) signed BARWISE LONDON with blued steel 'Breguet' moon hands, and apertures for pendulum regulation and winding, the backplate signed Barwise, London, with chain fusée and anchor escapement

CONDITION REPORT
With its pendulum and three assorted keys. The dial has been restored. The movement has been well cared for but now requires a clean. A mount from the centre of the griotte plinth is missing. Some slight wear to edges of gilding on the case. Some very slight dirt marks in areas such as folds of the clothes.
