The arched case surmounted by a brass handle above pierced brass ‘fish-scale’ panels, the front with a brass bezel and convex glass, above the circular signed 8in white-painted dial with trefoil hands, above an inset panel on stepped plinth and four brass bracket feet, the twin train wire gut fusée movement with rack strike on a bell, strike/silent lever, outer engraved backplate and pendulum locking block
45cm high (handle down)
CONDITION REPORT
There is a later mahogany thin panel underneath the carrying handle on the top, possibly to strengthen and cover a repair. Overall the case is of pleasing colour. The inset panel below the dial has pulled back a little on the bottom edge. The movement appears to have been recently cleaned and is in good order. One winding key and a case key.
