Surmounted by a deep bronze bell of thick gauge, secured by a twin-scroll nut, over a single foliot with 28 notches and shaped centre piece, with iron top and bottom plates between rectangular section pillars, the side doors each with large hinges and shaped catch, the dial with a fixed lacquered chapter ring enclosing a rotating centre with single brass hand with pierced leaf-shaped centre, set with 7 alarm positions running from approximately 4am to sunrise, the weight-driven movement with verge escapement and wheels of three crossings, the countwheel strike regulated by a four-vane fly

CONDITION REPORT
In original condition.  The movement does have surface oil over it, so may perhaps benefit from a careful clean.  Two foliot weights and two lead weights.
