A RARE WEDGWOOD CELADON-GROUND BICENTENARY COMPETITION VASE

Dated 1930
Designed by Emmanuel Tjerne, sprigged in white relief relief with mythical figures and animals, the neck rim detailed `Wedgwood', the foot with the dates `1730' and `1930', raised on a fluted canted square base, impressed `Wedgwood' to the base, 47.5cm high.

The vase was designed for the bicentenary of the birth of Josiah Wedgwood. Emmanuel Tjerne, A Swedish glass artist providing the winning design. 

Condition- Overall in good condition. There are some minor markings and scratches to the celadon ground, some fine firing cracks to the reliefs and some small chips around the base, one small chip to the top gilt rim, and another small chip to the next rim down above the D, see add
