The 'Polaris, No' poster is a good example of 'modern' graphic design being used as a tool to galvanise mass social movement. Fior was part of the Committee of 100, an an anti-nuclear group that promoted civil disobedience in a non-violent manner. Fior was imprisoned for sedition because of his activities and associations with this subversive group. See V&A accession number E.707-2018.
