The king, 9cm high; the pawn 4.5cm high; in a mahogany box 

Condition report: 

The pieces are not weighted and there are no stamps to the kings. The rooks with a star mark - see extra image. 

The ebony side with an additional three pawns, which are replacements to three pawns (which are present) that have chips and losses. 

The boxwood side with one pawn with a chip.
