The case surmounted by a seated cherub with flower filled basket, the winged putti painted dial with Roman hours, the twin train drum barrel movement with strike on bell stamped JAPY FRERES and numbered 522, 28.5cm wide; 40cm high.
Condition report:
Degradation to the bronze figure, particularly to the reverse (see image). General loss of gilding to the case throughout. Plaques in good order but some have slipped slightly. The decoration above the front plaque has been knocked off centre slightly.
