Condition reports:
No obvious maker’s marks.
Overall, wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Scuffs and fading to exposed parts: arms, finials and edge of rails.
Some loose joints, notably to one of the armchair’s with the rush seat.
A few repairs in area, including a repaired break to the arm of the other armchair. Numerous horizontal ‘ladder’ rails resecured to uprights.
Some shrinkage to parts, notable some stretchers, although they are secure.
One with worm holes to legs.
The seats are varying, one with a rush seat, the other with sea grass type material and the 6 side chairs with woven seats. See additional photographs at www.bellmans.co.uk
