Condition report:

Overall, in good condition considering age and use. General scuffs, wear, rubbing, some variation in colour and small chips commensurate with age and use.

An old repair to the top rail of the comb back, with a pinned brass brace to the underside of the rail.  Split visible to the top and a central spindle peg also visible; repegged at some point.

Further wear and  shrinkage to the curved central horizontal back rail with two carcksextending from front to back with opening of splits at the back (see additional images) Signs of  some old repair. The elements and joints would benefit from some strengthening.

Later corner block to seat rails. Some old worm holes to other corner blocks.

Rush drop-in seat in good condition. Rush work probably replaced at some point, in relatively good condition, but some age and wear, losses, dirt and dust.

Seat frame in relatively good solid order.
