Condition report:

Overall in good condition with some minor scuffs, sraches and light marks commensurate with use and age.

Swivel top with fading, a few marks and stains. Missing section of veneer at the curved edge.

A slight lifting to the top overall from the bottom, with consequent minor gap - approx 2/3 mm high - at the front.

The base in good condition, varnished at some point with evidence of the odd minor old worm hole to the main ring turned support, but this is minor.

The ‘faux’ rosewood describes the base. A practice by which plainer wood surfaces were decorated to imitate more expensive rosewood.
