Condition report:
Parts 19th century, top and bottom associated.
The top section is probably missing a front panel, possibly a fall front. This is explained by patched hole at the top and two side holes. Further to where the fall would’ve opened, there is also a replacement two sided rectangular section inserted below the four small drawers. However there’s is little wear to the carved moulding below from the possible fall front.
Old worm holes in areas, notably to some of the figures.
Metal work later, hinges replaced in areas.
Some back boards are also missing.
General wear, knocks, rubbing. Some shrinkage cracks to the sides visible and to other areas. Cabinet doors have shrunk a little, with a small gap between and additional section of timber added and a further spliced in section to door, hinge side.
Some small losses.
Scuffs, dirt and dust.
Otherwise, a decorative piece.
