Condition report:

There have been some later adaptions/alternations to this cabinet.  The backboards to the reverse are later painted backboards, suggesting a marriage of parts and later adaptions at some point.

Overall, the brass inlay is in relatively good order and intact.

Unusually the feet are gilt-metal mounted both to the back and inside, with some losses to these mounts. See photographs.

The upper section has been altered, with later lining to the interior, the glazing later, probably originally the doors would have been panelled, to match the base.

The side carrying handles are possibly a later association.

The top does not sit fully comfortably on the cabinet top, but instead there are three thin runners on which it sits on the cabinet below, and is screwed into position. (Lacking screws)

The hidden frieze drawer and concealed compartment behind the pediment.

Otherwise, light scuffs and scratches, minor chips and bruises, commensurate with use and age. Notably a small section of veneer chipped off to the back edge of the side (with the lot).
