MAPS - John SPEED (1552-1629).  Holy Iland ... Garnsey ... Farne ... Jarsey. [London:] "Performed by John Speede, and are to be solde in Popes heade alley by Joh. Sudbury and G. Humbell," 1610 [but 1611 or later]. Engraved map, in 4 sections, of Holy Island, Guernsey, the Farne Islands and Jersey (repair at the foot of the centrefold, uniformly browned, a few spots), 380 x 510mm., framed and glazed. The map has not been examined out of the frame. With 15 other engraved maps and charts including Johann Norden & William Kip's Cantium, quod nunc Kent ([London, c.1605]), Willem Blaeu's India quæ orientalis dicitur, et insulæ adiacentes ([Amsterdam, c.1645] (browned)), Nicolas Sanson's Provinces d'West, autrefois Royaume d'Westsex ([Paris, c.1654]), Robert Morden's Kent ([London, c.1680]), Vicenzo Maria Coronelli's Parte Meridionale del Regno d' Inghilterra ([Venice, c.1690]), Greenville Collins' Newcastle uppon [sic] Tyne ([London, n.d.], chart), the same hydrographer's P. of Carnarvan Shire ...
