Additional engraved architectural title engraved by Jacques Lalouette after Sebastien Leclerc, letterpress title with large engraved armorial device, fine engraved initials and illustrations, 12 engraved numismatic plates at the end (some light mainly marginal staining to the additional title, some leaves lightly browned, a few spots). Attractively bound in contemporary full panelled vellum, the covers with blind-stamped arabesque centrepiece, the spine with raised bands and title in old manuscript in the upper compartment (some staining to the lower cover, corners rubbed and lightly bumped, front pastedown torn). Provenance: old manuscript library number on a small piece of folded paper affixed to the front pastedown and repeated in pencil on the front pastedown; some plates numbered in old manuscript. FIRST EDITION of this work on Dutch coins, medals and emblems. Not in Brunet; Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature 2656.
