BUKOWSKI, Charles (1920-94).  Run with the Hunted. Chicago: Midwest Poetry Chapbooks [edited by R. R. Cuscaden], 1962. 8vo (210 x 140mm). Woodcut ornament on title. Original red printed wrappers with the ornament repeated on the upper wrapper, the price of $1.00 printed at the foot of the lower wrapper, stapled (some minor staining and sectional fading to the wrappers). Provenance: from the Collection of David Kotthoff. FIRST EDITION of the author's third chapbook, and fourth published book. "... [A] number of editors, critics and academics began to champion Bukowski as a fresh new voice. Small press publisher R. R. Cuscaden wrote an essay in Satis magazine likening Bukowski's estrangement from society to that of Baudelaire. It was Cuscaden who also published the third limited edition Bukowski chapbook, Run with the Hunted, dedicated to John William Corrington, the Louisiana-based poet and English teacher ..."
