Half title, title printed in red and black, 16 fine coloured lithographed plates by Axel Amuchástegui. Original morocco-backed marbled paper boards by Zaehnsdorf, the spine lettered in gilt, facsimile signature of the artist stamped in gilt on the upper cover, top edges gilt, slipcase (some very minor scuffing to the head and foot of the spine, the slipcase rubbed and scuffed). FIRST EDITION. NUMBER 50 OF 505 COPIES SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. "The plates were printed in multi-colour lithography at The Curwen Press Limited in London who also composed the type in Monotype Caslon. The book has been printed on Arma all-rag paper made by E. Towgood & Sons Ltd at Sawston, Cambridge" (from the limitation leaf).
