WASSERMANN, Jakob (1873-1934). A substantial collection of letters and papers comprising a twenty-page typewritten script for the 1924 film "Gelbmantelchen" ("Wearer of the Yellow Mantle"), with autograph corrections by Wassermann; a five-page typescript entitled "Der Jude als Orientale"; 13 autograph pages from "Christian Wahnschaffe" (translated into English as "The World's Illusion", and turned into a German silent film in 1920), given to Nathan Ausubel in 1924; a photograph of Wassermann; and 18 autograph or typed letters, signed, by Wassermann to Ausubel between 1924 and 1931, many with envelopes, about his writings and their publication, and giving his authorisation for Ausubel to serve as agent for the publication in the United States of magazine, newspaper articles and reviews.
