Original green pictorial cloth gilt, plain brown endpapers (some staining, spine faded). Provenance: Elsie Wild (large child's signature and address at the head of the list of illustrations). This revised edition contains a new mounted coloured frontispiece by Rackham dated 1912, a new title page design, and more illustrations in the text which did not appear in the first edition of 1906. In addition, the 1912 edition has the coloured plates distributed throughout the text, whereas the first edition usually has the plates bound together at the end. Latimore & Haskell p.40; Riall p.74.
