Volume One only (of 2), 4to (218 x 165mm). Title within double rule border, 133 engraved plates, text printed in double column (one plate detached, some light browning, spotting and staining, a few darker spots, head of one text leaf cropped with loss of letters). Contemporary panelled calf gilt, spine with 5 raised bands, title in old ink on spine (joints split or rubbed, corners bumped and worn). The first volume of this work was issued in parts between 1716 and 1719. The title page of the second volume was dated 1730. Of the two copies in the British library, the first consists of the first volume only; the second has both volumes, although the title page of the second is supplied in facsimile.
