Hand-coloured engraved map, title within a highly elaborate strapwork cartouche surmounted by the coat-of-arms of Elizabeth I, with Thomas Seckford's coat-of-arms beneath and his motto "Industria naturam ornat." in a banner above, bunch of grapes watermark, blank on verso (lightly browned and stained), 382 x 460mm., unframed. The first printed map of Northumberland.
