Ethiopian manuscript on c.165 vellum leaves, Ge'ez script in red and black, 22-lines to each page, with 18 ornamental coloured strapwork and foliate headpieces, some with stylised birds, one with 2 human faces, scribes' guiding pinholes throughout, red, green and blue thread place-markers (2 naturally-occurring holes, some staining, text partly erased from last 2 pages). Contemporary vellum over boards with decoration in blind to the upper cover and a cross to the lower (stained and darkened, with some wrinkling, a few small holes to the spine), 125 x 90mm., [?]19th-century. Provenance: old Ethiopian annotation to a few margins; old illegible stamp to a few leaves.
