CHORNY [or CHERNY], Sasha [i.e. pseudonym of Aleksandr Mikhailovich GLIKBERG (1880-1932)]. An unpublished autograph couplet in pencil, with an original sketch in pencil beneath of a woman wearing a wide-brimmed hat, [c.1925], 225 x 175mm., in modern window mount. Born into a Jewish family in Odessa, Sasha Chorny was a Russian poet, satirist and children's author who, having left Russia following the October Revolution, lived in Lithuania and Germany before eventually settling in Paris and Provence.
