[MERIAN, Matthäus (1593-1650, engraver)] and Martin ZEILER (1589-1661).  [From the first printed title:]  Topographia Galliæ, Ofte eene naeukeurige Beschrijvinghe der Provintien, Steden en plaetfen van het Koninckrijck Vranckryck [other titles with variants]. Amsterdam: Bij Jacob van Meurs, 1662 [Part II dated 1661]. Parts I - III only (of 5), 12mo (131 x 75mm). Additional engraved titles in parts I and III, 224 engraved plates, plans and maps by Matthäus Merian, all double-page or folding (the 2 large folding bird's-eye-views of Paris detached and torn without loss, one stained at fold, some plates repaired on verso with adhesive tape resulting in some staining, one plate with a quarter lacking, another with a small piece lacking, a few plates cropped or shaved, a few short tears, some spotting and staining). Contemporary vellum with yapp edges, title in old manuscript on the spines (the binding of part II stained and with some damage to the upper cover). Provenance: Jois [?]Losson (signature and inscriptions dated 1663 to front free endpapers of parts I and III). Cf.
