Half title, woodcut printer's device on title (repair to margin of half title, title and first few leaves browned and spotted, some light mainly marginal spotting, staining and browning). Contemporary half vellum, title in old manuscript on spine (some staining). Provenance: Joseph Maria Parascandalo (armorial bookplate); clipped catalogue descriptions of other books relating to "Pope Joan" mounted on the rear pastedown.
