Elaborate additional engraved title, title printed in red and black with woodcut printer's device, New Testament title printed in red and black with woodcut border, full-page woodcut dedication, black letter, printed mostly in double column, head- and tailpieces, initials (lacks all before engraved title [i.e. blank], a few short tears to engraved title, lightly browned, some mainly marginal spotting and staining). Contemporary panelled vellum over boards elaborately decorated in blind, spine with 5 raised bands, old manuscript label (heavily rubbed and stained, upper inner hinges split, lacks clasps). Provenance: copious old annotation to front pastedown and rear endpaper.
